Business Description
My internship was at Arizona Animal Hospital a veterinary clinic that works with small animals such as dogs and cats. I choose this internship because I have always wanted to become a veterinarian and having the opportunity to see what a vet does daily can help me decide on if this is my future, luckily it is.

Preparation and Anticipation
Fall:
October 20th, 2019- My thoughts on doing an internship is that I am super excited about doing this, I think it will be a great opportunity to see what it is like to have a full time job everyday. I am looking forward to working with hopefully a veterinarian and just doing a job that I can see myself doing everyday in the future. I have already read into some careers that would spark interest which are mostly in the medical field. I would like to be looking into local animal hospitals in Durango.
Winter:
February 13th, 2020- I have successfully planted myself an internship at Arizona Animal Hospital, located in Scottsdale, Arizona. I have definitely looking forward to working there, I have already met the veterinarian that I will be working with and the hospital staff as well. They all seem really nice! There hospital is very large but also organized, luckily it is only 5 minutes away to where I will be staying. A nice short commute!

Reflection
October 1st, 2020
During my time at Arizona Animal Hospital I learned that veterinary science is most certainly the career path that I want to into. I can definitely see myself spending the rest of my life dedicated to saving the lives of our pets. There was definitely a lot more blood, urine, and feces but that is part of the job. Veterinarians have mastered the ability to multi-task, quick thinking, and making their clients happy. I hope to learn to master those characteristics in the future and with that educating myself to become the best veterinarian that I can possibly be. I discovered that when people get into veterinary sciences it is not about the good salary that they make but the passion that they have of making sure that when your pet gets sick that they will be able to make your pet get better. The next steps into the future are that I will graduate from high school then go to Montana State University and majoring in Animal Sciences then going onto vet school. I am very hopeful for the future and very thankful that I had gotten the experiences that I did interning at Arizona Animal Hospital
